Water Wise Program 10/26/14

Residents of La Cañada and the foothill area communities are invited to attend this event on Sunday, October 26, 2014 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the historic clubhouse 4440 Woodleigh Lane, La Cañada Flintridge.
La Cañada resident Susanne Whatley, News Anchor for KPCC will be the MC.
A panel discussion will be followed by questions from the audience. Panelists include:
- Cassy Aoyagi, president of FormLA Landscaping, board president of Theodore Payne Foundation for Wildflowers & Native plants, and recognized expert in sustainable landscape design
- Mark Martinez, senior policy advisor for Southern California Edison Co. and currently water-energy nexus lead in Customer Programs and Services Division
- David Rydman, civil engineer LA County Department of Public Works, serving as water resources manager in the Waterworks Division
- Rachel Young, director of horticulture and operations at Descanso Gardens, leading and managing all aspects of the garden, developing low water gardening and bringing knowledge of flora from around the world.
Admission is complimentary and light refreshments will be served. Informational handouts will be provided.
